  1. Do you really shop at ‘our’ Kroger’s in Jackson and use printables? I get a hassle EVERYTIME I go there! This last time they all but called me a counterfitter! I love Meijer!

  2. I do go to Kroger in Jackson (West side) and I only go in for coupon deals and I only bring in black and white printable coupons. I’ve had the total opposite experience that you’ve had. There’s one cashier named Rose (I think that’s her name) who is so sweet to me every time I go in that I’ve actually sent a letter to the manager to let them know how nice and pleasant she is, even for someone who brings in a ton of coupons. I once had a Kroger cashier high-five me because I’d taken a $50+ total and got it under $5 with coupons.

Do your printed coupons scan OK? I’ve heard of others who have had problems and I’ve always wondered if it was a difference in printing. My coupons are printed on a laser printer and they always scan without a problem.

Meijer, on the other hand, is where I’ve had issues. East side Meijer, to be exact. My husband works really close to that location so it’s not always convenient to avoid that one, but I sure do try.

  3. I actually went to west side Kroger today and they were so nice!! The store is cleaner, too! My Qs are black and white and I they scan no prob. On east side, they didn’t even scan the coupons before they started giving me trouble. On gal actually told me I “had to have copied these, you have so many coupons”. I politely informed her I have 4 computers I print from so I get two of each coupon from each computer and offered to give her the websites so she could save too and she told me “I wouldn’t waste my time”!! And with all that ‘proof’ of how much I save in front of her!
And funny thing, I have NO trouble with east side Meijer! They are really helpful there, too. Since I was on west side today (thus my trip to Kroger) I did another Meijer trip over there (can’t resist free fruit snacks!)and they were nice, too. Guess I just have to make a trip to west for Kroger instead of giving up the deals! Thanks–like your site btw.

  4. I think it’s a better shopping experience all the way around on the west side of town. The store on E. Michigan is so old and outdated, it seems dirty. Add in a few crappy employee attitudes and it makes Kroger just another level of hell.
